Why was Anubis so Important to the Egyptians?


the reason Anubis was so important to the Egyptians was because he was the god of the dead. the Epytians worshiped two things the most, number one the gods and number two the dead. Another reason was because he decided their fate in the after life in the underworld.

    Well this article is quite correct in my opinion. Because even though Anubis didn't judge the dead, he was the god who weighed the deceased hearts against the Feather of
    Truth from the goddess Maat's headdress. If the heart was heavier than the feather, the person of whom it belongs will suffer and his/her heart will be devoured by the she-demon Ammit. If the heart is lighter or the same weight as the feather, the dead person will go on to the afterlife and live in paradise with Osiris.

    Well I do so believe that anubis is not just measuring to scale the heart as to be tweaking to alter the weighing by where he can permit correction to those by partiality to be deserving it or the fine favour from Sunnis he himself,you see there is more to just weighing the heart but it to is questioned and reasoned upon and recorded by that of thoth,
